What’s Inkflesh all about?

This is blog was constructed for an Introduction to Multi-Media class and it covers a vast array of topical and intriguing findings and thinkings. Inkflesh is managed by Natalie Musumeci, a journalism major at Brooklyn College.

The names “Inkflesh” because I, Natalie Musumeci will do my best to write truthfully and informatively on any subject that comes up throughout these posts. I will show my flesh to all of you as readers. And if you are wondering about the “ink” part of it all – well, I prefer to write tangibly with a pen and paper as opposed to typing on a keyboard, but because the world we live in is changing everyday and there are different outlets to get our voice out there, why not blog about it?

    Hi Natalie,

I love your article about tattooing being illegal in New York City. I’m looking to track down some of those great archival images you have for a webisode that looks at the ban and am wondering where I can go to find them?

    My best,

    Leah

I’m looking for that picture of Charlie Wagner and the woman getting tattooed in her bra and undies, specifically.

    My best,

    Leah

Hi Leah, thanks for writing. I think I found a lot of images on Creative Commons and also the book ‘New York City Tattoo: Oral History of an Urban Art’ by Michael McCabe has some great images.
